海鷗徘徊。

那西沈的夕陽，

The Kingdom in the Mist
.
Mist is her fortress;
the sea, her realm.
Once, a flag had risen,
and fluttered across the four seas.
Now,
the tides murmur deep,
and seagulls linger.
The island lies still within the mist,
the sea breeze becomes the breath of memory.
That west-sinking sun
shall turn into a pale gray line,
drifting lightly upon the vast sea—
as if a dream not yet awakened,
as if a shadow about to fade.
霧の中王国
霧はその砦、
海はその領土。
かつて一つの旗が、
四つの海に翻った。
いま、
潮の声は深沈と響き、
カモメは彷徨う。
島は霧の中に静かに横たわり、
海風は記憶の息となる。
西に沈む夕陽は、
やがて一筋の灰色の線となり、
蒼茫たる海にそっと漂う――
まだ覚めぬ夢のように、
消えゆく影のように。
