not knowing for what,
nor how long it will take.
Perhaps it was once faith,
perhaps it’s only habit.
Are we humans not the same?
Waiting for this, for that,
until even our reasons have weathered away.
待つ
静かに待つ。
何を待つのかも、
いつまでなのかも知らない。
かつては信念だったのか、
それともただの習慣か。
人もまた同じではないか。
これを待ち、あれを待ち、
やがて理由さえ風化してゆく。
