縱然額上月牙，
只是傳說；
不過一身正氣，
卻甚真實。
至於那張黑臉，
原是不太雅致的誤會；
他的一生，
散射著月暈般的潔白。

The crescent rests upon his brow,
and also within the people’s hearts.
It is the light that refuses to hide in the night,
and the hope the common folk can scarcely wait for.
Though the crescent on his brow
may be only legend,
the uprightness he carried
was steadfast and true.
As for that so-called darkened face,
it was merely an ungraceful misunderstanding;
for throughout his life,
he shone with a halo’s soft, lunar white.
三日月
三日月は彼の額にあり、
また人々の胸にも宿る。
それは夜に沈もうとしない光、
民がわずかに託した望みの輝き。
たとえ額の三日月が
ただの伝説であろうとも、
彼の一身に満ちた正気は
まことに揺らがぬものだった。
その「黒い顔」とて、
もとは雅を欠いた誤解にすぎず、
彼の一生はむしろ、
月暈のように澄んだ白さを放っていた。
