牠站在時光的暗角，
凝望前方無聲的白。
那裡似有洋流，
卻沖不走昨日；
似有信風，
也吹不到明天。
這暗角暗得太黑，
黑得像從未存在；
偏僻得太深，
深到不像會有人來。
牠只能繼續凝望，
凝望能邁步的那天，
那天能跟同伴前行的時刻。
可是和風拂地，
浪潮拍岸，
卻只在重複空白的節奏⋯⋯

It stands in the dim corner of time,
gazing toward a silence washed in white.
There seems to be a current,
yet it carries no yesterday away;
there seems to be a trade wind,
yet it cannot reach tomorrow.
This corner is dark—
so dark it feels unmade;
remote—
so remote it seems no one could ever come.
So it keeps on gazing,
gazing toward a day it may step forward,
a moment it might walk with its kind again.
But gentle winds brush the earth,
and the tides strike the shore,
only repeating the rhythm
of an ever-returning blankness…
凝望
時の隅影に立ち、
その先の白き静寂を見つめている。
そこには潮の流れがあるようで、
昨日をさらうことはなく、
信風があるようで、
明日へは届かない。
この隅影はあまりに暗く、
生まれぬ闇のように深く、
あまりに偏り、
誰も訪れぬ場所のように遠い。
ただ見つめるしかない。
歩み出せる日を、
仲間と進めるその時を、
ひたすらに見つめ続ける。
だが和風は地をなで、
波は岸を打ち、
ただ空白の律動を
繰り返すばかりである……
