藻荇風作品〈看〉取意龍門石窟盧舍那大佛，相傳其相或映武則天之容，作品不證其史，只借佛眼之看，提出權力看遍萬民之後，是否仍能看見一人。 The Alllgae-style work Seeing draws from the Longmen Grottoes’ Vairocana Buddha, traditionally associated with the image of Wu Zetian, without affirming history, asking whether power that has seen all can still see the individual. 藻荇風作品〈見る〉は武則天の面影が重ねられると伝えられる盧舍那大仏を題材に史実を断定せず見るという行為を通して権力と個の距離を問う。

Those eyes:
seeing into the lanes,
overlooking the multitude;
seeing through the inner court,
yet—did they ever see that one person clearly?
The lips,
silent for a thousand years.
見る
その一双の眼は──
里を深く見、
万民を俯瞰し、
深宮をも見透かした。
だが、
あの一人を見極めたのだろうか。
唇は、
千載、語らず。
