I lift my head to watch the plane,
yet pay no heed to the wind.
The wind has no form, yet lifts the plane higher;
the wings can fly, only because the wind upholds them.
Blankness is not emptiness—
there breathes the wind.
Emptiness is not void—
there pulses the air.
To see the plane,
to look at the wind,
to behold the air—
only then one knows
what it is to look,
and what it is to truly see.
風
頭を上げて飛行機を見る。
けれど、風には気づかない。
風は形を持たないが、飛行機を高く運び、
翼が飛べるのは、風に支えられているから。
余白は空白ではない。
そこには風の息がある。
空白は虚しさではない。
そこには気の鼓動がある。
飛行機を見て、
風を見つめ、
気を観る。
そのとき初めて知るのだ。
見るとは何か、
見えるとは何かを。
